I have been asked, on several occasions recently, to expand on the career experiences of Jean and myself, especially those experiences which relate to our future publication. I am, of course, delighted to do so.
Following world wide operations as aircrew flying on multi engined transport and passenger carrying aircraft I amassed several hundred flying hours. As an Air Traffic Control Officer I was qualified and validated in all disciplines and I still hold a current CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) validation for a local airport. As an Air Traffic Contol training instructor I held an A1 rating, the highest possible rated validation, in both the live and simulated environments. At present I am an Operations Controller employed in a prestigious aviation training academy which is a well known centre of excellence. As the Operations Training Manager my responsibilities include writing and validating SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and training programmes for work colleagues and 'holding students'. I give daily briefings and presentations to multi audience 'one to one' and group scenarios. I have also been employed and have extensive experience as a Public Relations and Press Liaison Officer
Jean is a business lady. She has recruited, trained and employed many people during her career. She has obviously had to design, administer and implement her own training programmes. Her ambition has always to been to be the very best in her working environment to achieve that all important 'credibility rating' with her staff and enable her to delegate responsibilities on an 'ad hock basis'.
Jean is also a qualified image consultant and personal life coach. She is a consultant with Britain's leading Colour and Image consultancy as well and welcomes students to an exciting journey of self discovery. She projects the very best aspects of appearance and image. Her aims and objectives help students to experience renewed self confidence, assertiveness and enhanced self esteem. Jeans 'one to one' training modules and group seminars have established her as a leading expert in her field. As well as giving individual presentations her training locations also include schools and companies. Good dress sense, speech, confidence, image, overall attitude and a positive outlook are essential qualities and life skills in Jeans world and she is an absolutely excellent teacher and trainer.
Jean is as passionate about our project and the future publication as I am. She is delighted that our perspective is that of a man and woman with the associated life experiences.
Jean and I are both delighted that we have joined forces to promote this project and both feel that we are the perfect authors for our future publication. We both left full time education with limited academic qualifications but have succeeded in our chosen careers by the enhanced use of people and life skills. Our combined CV's cover a massive range of such skills. We intend that the book will be informative, instructional, humorous and by using the TV Studio scenario image it will have a 'tinge' of glamour. Without doubt it will be one of the best publications of its type.
The ensuing training seminars and sessions will surpass other 'like for like' training modules. They will be entirely individual, written on demand and appropriate for all age ranges.
