Validation and Forward Planning as we approach the 'Live Phase' of the Project
The Professional life coaching course and the advanced presentation skills course were excellent. Life coaching is a new 'buzz' word but as Jean states on her web site I suspect that we have been involved in life coaching skills in both the family and workplace management environment all our lives. I envisage that the rapport, motivation, allocation of priorities and question technique skills taught will be a massive advantage when we enter the personal and business training projects.
The advanced presentation skills course in London was very successful. As well as providing excellent presentation skills practise it gave the opportunity for exceptionally valuable feedback. The advice and guidance I received made me realise that we are definitely on track and validated our progress to date.
The Networking group 'Strength in Numbers' has now met twice and has a total of nine members. My press release was well received and gave us valuable advertising on the local radio stations and in the press. The group PR has also provided a suitable publicity platform for our own projects. I have just completed an in depth interview with the 'Border Business' magazine and now eagerly await their publication in January 2009. We have now confirmed our aims and objectives and the group has planned meetings well into the new year. Jean and I both had a shock when we realised that in short 'Strength in Numbers Networking Group' spells SINNET.
As we approach the Live phase of our projects it is time to reflect and recap. Jean and I are both delighted with our progress to date and now feel the need to 'go live'. We plan press releases to local press, radio stations and Border Business early in the new year. We also plan to advertise individual personal development courses and local business seminars in Spring 2009 as well as moving the book project a step nearer to publication. We are trying to arrange a visit to a television studio as an 'atmosphere taster' prior to completion of our last chapter 'on the casting couch'. We both feel that, as authors, it is so important to get as close to the 'live' environment as possible.
Jean and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our readers a really happy Christmas and all the very best for 2009.
