Etiquette, Formal Occasions, Life Coaching and The Synopsis of the Book

Jean and I have now completed three more chapters and can now 'see the light at the end of the tunnel' . As we approach 'the final straight' we have also decided to write a synopsis of the future publication to send to companies who will be interested in printing the book

Readers may be surprised to see chapters titled Etiquette and Formal Occasions in a 'people and life' skills guide. Jean and I feel however that if an individual person has ambition in life then it is essential that they have a guideline with regard to good manners, protocol and perfect behaviour patterns. In a 'management' scenario these skills would be the 'least' expectations and would combine perfectly with an understanding of correct 'dress codes'. Jean actually lists a copy of the relevent dress codes as a guideline in the relevant chapter on Formal Occasions.

Life Coaching is a very important subject. Jean herself is a qualified professional life coach and in the chapter she explains how, with the aid of expert question techniques, she can help clients consider and explore 'options' in life that they may never have considered by themselves. As Jean points out top sports teams and successful business people employ life coaches to help them achieve the pinnacle of their careers so why not you, the individual. The principle is the same.

To attract a good publisher it is essential that writers send a synopsis of the book content to possible publishing companies. I have actually written a covering letter, which gives a brief history of the whole project, to accompany the synopsis.

Jean and I are looking forward to our visit to the Central Television Studios in Birmingham on Monday 20th July. Following the visit we will be in a position to write our last chapters and then prepare for proof readings. It is an exciting time for us as 'first time' writers. We both reiterate that we can't wait to read the completed book
