It is a time for celebration. Jean has returned after her holiday looking like a bronzed princess, spring is just around the corner and the book is almost finished.
To quote Chapter 16 titled ‘New You’ it really is a new beginning!
This week we will be making the final proof reading adjustments as well as making preparations for publishing. We aim to print a finished hard copy manuscript early next week and create a disc in Microsoft Word format. We already have one or two interested publishing companies who we will contact in the next few days. Our aim however is to be in a position where we can contact several companies and can ‘sell the end product’ by the instantaneous production of our manuscript by the various communication media; e-mail, hard copy or disc.
Jean’s very good friend Mary Cross, who is a published author, has been our ‘creative writing’ advisor for some time. We owe Mary a great deal of gratitude and she has spent the weekend proof reading our finished manuscript. To my absolute delight she has given us a very positive thumbs up. Her comments about our book are extremely complimentary and we really cannot thank her enough for all her considerable help and advice with our project. Mary, you really are a star!
